May 2019 Update

News and Updates

Happy Spring everyone!  The flowers are growing and new features are here at Pronounceology.  We’ve been continually making small fixes and updates, but here’s a few big ones to highlight:

  1. A new basic tier!  For those of you who just don’t do as much research per month, you can now subscribe for just $5.99 per month for 500 search terms.  You can switch back and forth by going to the “Plans” page and choosing “Switch.”
  2. Shareable Search Reports!  Much requested, this allows you to turn on sharing for a search report and then choose to give the recipient full permissions.  That means they can change or edit your data – phonetic spellings, notes, source URLs, and even initiate new searches.  This is perfect for sharing your report with a researcher you’ve hired, or even the author to record their own preferred pronunciations.
    Share your search report!
  3. Hire a Researcher page.  This is our very own directory of professional researchers and preppers for your book.  If you get stuck researching a particular language or list of words, just turn on sharing and email them the link for a quick quote!  Then they can even fill out your research report directly within Pronounceology.  If you do research on the side or know anyone else who would like to be included on this list, just drop me a line.

And coming soon: Collins Dictionary!  I’m excited to include Collins as they feature multiple languages, including French, German, Italian, and Spanish – now those pesky foreign words will be easier to find.

That’s it for now!  I hope to see some of you at the Audio Publisher’s Association Conference in NYC this month.  I’ll be giving out 1 Month Free coupon codes if you’d like to give Pronounceology a try.

Take care,
Adam
